Summer 2009

Summer 2009 was another great summer for Troop 240. Here are some of the trips we took over the Summer:

Troop Summer Camp - Camp Mattatuck
- This was our regular summer camp and everyone had a great time. Lots of Scouts earned Merit Badges, as well as progressing in rank advancement through various activities in different areas.
Backpacking Trip - White Mountains
- 4 Scouts and 3 of the leaders spent 5 days backpacking and hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The trip included summiting Mount Washington (the North East's highest peak, and home of "the worst weather in the world") and spending a night at the AMC Lake of The Clouds hut. It was a great trip and weather cooperated too!
